SMMS Middle School

Our middle school consists of our sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classrooms. Our classes are separated by grade level, and we offer opportunities for advanced classes in math, science, and language arts. Our staff of wonderful teachers are dedicated to educating each aspect of their students’ lives-

intellectual, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical. A strong faith and love of God is at the center of their educational philosophy, and your student will leave our middle school program with the concept of living a good, God-centered life and using the education that they’ve been given for the good of others and the society in which they live.

Our Curriculum

Religion: Students follow the Archdiocesan Standards for religion which include reading Scripture, participating in the Liturgy, learning and applying the life of the saints and using the Beatitudes as the guidelines to living faithful lives. They also participate in various acts of service throughout the year that instill the value of being the hands and feet of Christ in our community.

Language Arts: Our language arts classes are divided by grade level, and we offer both advanced and general courses. Our teachers guide students through novels, poetry, and plays, with an emphasis on literary elements and author’s purpose. Our goal is to create and develop a love and appreciation for reading and writing in each student we have the privilege of instructing.

Math: Depending on grade level, your student will be introduced to concepts such as integers, decimals, ratios, probability, geometry, statistics, polynomials, exponents, quadratic functions, graphing, and more.
